The Herewoode Academy is committed to making every effort to ensure that students are as well-informed as possible for their examinations. We also endeavour to make sure that exams are carried out in a way that reduces as much stress as possible for students so we can help them achieve their very best. One way in which we do that is carry out rigorous sets of mock exams.

Mock Exam Windows

Reports will be sent home by email and given to the students in brown envelope assemblies shortly after these periods.

Exam period

GCSE exams in 2026 start from the week commencing Monday 4th May and finish on Tuesday 16th June, with a contingency date of Wednesday 24th June. These are the most up-to-date exam dates set by each exam board, but they might change closer to the exam period. As such, you should only use these dates as a general guide.

JCQ Regulations

As part of the exam regulations set out by the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) students need to be aware of key documents with regards to examinations and any non-examined assessment as part of the course. The relevant documents are available below; all Year 11 students should familiarise themselves and read the key information.
