Year 8 history focuses on the international aspects of our History and how these events are still relevant to our lives today. Students will already have practise in key historical skills and these will be continued to be built upon through the year.

Spring Protest
Ideas that changed the world
  • What is protest, and how have people protested throughout history e g. the French Revolution, Death Penalty, Apartheid?
  • How have key ideas and technology changed the world around us e.g. algebra, communism, the internet
Summer World War I
  • Was WW1 inevitable?
  • How was it fought, and why is it remembered as the Great War?
